Tried the Live CD version of Ubuntu 9.04 on my new laptop (Compaq Presario CQ60-305EA) last night, screen redraw was painfully slow. It was almost like a window blind effect opening or moving a Firefox window.Most confusing, wonder if it has problems with the NVIDIA GeForce 8200M?
Not worth dual booting if that is an indication of the speed I'll get.
Anyone got any ideas on a solution?
